Come on out to Brooklyn for a change! Whisky, whisky, and if I plan it right, some ol' fashioned Kentucky snacks. You know, besides bourbon.

The system is the same as meetups at Aaron's apartment, except that you will be in Brooklyn. Bring a bottle to contribute to the line-up for the night. At the end of the evening, you are welcome to take your bottle back home with you or donate it to the collection of your hosts.

This meetup will also be in conjunction with the whiskyguild.com social networking site, so come on out to the wilds of Brooklyn for a wee dram or seven.

We're doing one scotch, one single malt, and one bourbon on our end: a very special Ardbeg, Amrut peated from India, and Four Roses Mariage. There's likely going to be a lot of whisky on hand, so I'll cook up some extra water.

Since Lefty asked, I'm bringing a Tomintoul 16 yr old Sherry cask. Also a Highland Park 12, just to share the love! :)

Subway notes: from Manhattan, take the Brooklyn bound Q train (42nd St, 34th St, Union Sq, Canal, etc) to Kings Highway. Train may run local over the R line to DeKalb Ave, adding a few stops, so bring a book or some headphones.

    •  Wonderful hosts and great people. I was so impressed by everyone's knowledge of Whisky. It was really a pleasure learning from them as I am a newbie to the world of Whisky.
    •  Pure quality!
    •  Thanks to everyone who helped make our first hosting gig a success. But why didn't anyone want to stay to do dishes? :)
