NYC Whisky Enthusiasts July Meetup

This event is a snob-free whisky tasting, located at the apartment of one of our members. Each person brings a bottle of their favorite whisky (or whiskey), or one they'd like to try. At the end of the night you can take your (generally unfinished) bottle home or leave it for the meetup host.

I recommend checking out Park Avenue Liquors (Madison and 41st), Astor Spirits (Lafayette and 4th), and Warehouse Wines (Broadway and Astor Place), all of which have excellent selections. Astor Spirits and Warehouse Wines have the best prices I've seen in the city.
If you'd like to try a more high-end whisky but are worried about the cost, email the group or the organizer; it should be possible join forces with one or two other members.
